Often times when people start living a healthier lifestyle, there isn’t a structure or solid plan in place. In between meals when hunger cravings strike can be a time of weakness when the urge to eat something unhealthy seems like a good idea.
One key to success is having a meal plan that includes daily snacks. Taking the guess-work out of what to grab to for a snack will help ensure that you stick to the plan. By doing this, you have created a “healthy habit” and eliminated the risk of eating something unhealthy––that you’d probably feel guilty about later. Having a structure in place, like a meal plan is critical to securing your success while creating a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
For example, a simple snack can be a healthy variation of something you always enjoy. If you like ice cream, try a low fat frozen yogurt version.
